Thanks to the generosity of those who participated in our Fishing for a Cause fundraiser, on August 28th we delivered over 450 items to the children at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
Jeanine Spencer knows from volunteering at Stony Brook Children’s hospital how important the items are that the foundation brings to SBCH. She said, “The distraction and joy it brings to a child to receive something that they can call their own is huge, and nothing makes me happier than to bring joy to a child.”
It’s very fitting that this came about from our fishing fundraiser, since Stony Brook Children’s Hospital is brightly decorated with an ocean theme!
