KellyAnne

KellyAnne  was diagnosed with leukemia at just 9 years old.  She’s studying biology with hopes of becoming a doctor. She attributes her illness to instilling in her a positive mindset and a strong sense of fortitude. Experiencing the suffering of her family and others firsthand has deepened her empathy in ways she never imagined.  With her resilience and compassion, KellyAnne will undoubtedly be a gift to the medical profession.

Max

Max has faced more challenges in his young life than many do in a lifetime. Diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just one-year-old, Max bravely battled through his early years. Twelve years later, at the age of 13, he faced yet another daunting diagnosis – renal carcinoma. Despite these overwhelming obstacles, Max’s resilience and spirit have never wavered.  While he has yet to declare a major, we have no doubt that whatever path he chooses, Max will leave an indelible mark on the world.

Alejandrina

Alejandrina faced a life-changing diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2020, right during the global pandemic. During her long days in the hospital, she found comfort and inspiration in animation. This creative outlet became her sanctuary and sparked a profound passion for art and  storytelling.  Alejandrina is pursuing a degree in Games and Emerging Media. She hopes to use her talents to help others, just as animation helped her through her toughest times. Her resilience and creativity are truly inspiring, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will make in the world.

Cierra

Cierra was diagnosed with a carcinoid tumor at the age of 14. Her journey through this challenging diagnosis has shaped her into a resilient and determined individual. Now Cierra is studying journalism and health and human sciences. Her experiences have fueled her passion for telling impactful stories and advocating for health awareness.
