St. Baldrick’s is committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Here on Long Island, March is a special time when St. Baldrick’s holds fundraisers for their cause.
On March 9th Jeanine Spencer attended one such event at Napper Tandy’s in Northport. Family members shared heartfelt memories of children they lost to cancer, and children who survived their own illnesses told their stories as well.
“It was an emotional rollercoaster” said Jeanine Spencer. “But I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. The impact of so many will make a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer.”
