Cancer has long-lasting effects on pediatric cancer patients even after they are in remission.  What better way to help them with these life challenges than to assist with their continued education through scholarships?

The Jean and Jeanine Spencer Beyond the Cure Ambassador Scholarships are administered through the National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS).  They are granted to childhood cancer survivors under the age of 25, diagnosed before the age of 18 with cancer or a high grade or anaplastic brain tumor.  The scholarships will be awarded based on essays submitted by the applicants.  All funds donated to the Scholarship Program are paid directly to the college, university, vocational or technical school for the individual it was awarded to.

Jeanine Spencer said, “Survivors of cancer have challenges for the rest of their lives.  Being in this space, we have seen the strength of these young warriors and how our support has made an impact in their daily lives. Finding the NCCS was meant to be.  We are elated to partner with the NCCS and look forward to a long-term relationship to help these young (warrior) adults find a way to reach for the stars and follow their dreams through the NCCS Beyond The Cure Ambassador Scholarship Program.”
