Right after the holidays, the Child Life Staff at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital reached out to The Spencer Foundation with an urgent request for pajamas for newborns up to 6 months old and PlayDoh sets for toddlers.   On January 9th, Sassy sped out to Stony Brook with Jeanine Spencer (as always, Sassy’s loyal chauffeur) to deliver the goods.  Sam and Rachel of Child Life could not be happier when they arrived at the hospital.   They stated, “We couldn’t be more appreciative to TSF and all their donors.”

A very special shout-out to the staff at North Shore Hospital Manhasset 3DSU for their generous donation to The Spencer Foundation, which funded these purchases.  Nathalie Donachie, a member of our Board of Trustees, spearheaded their fundraising effort.  “I am humbled and privileged to be part of The Spencer Foundation. I am proud of my work team to have rallied together to raise money in order to help our children who are near and dear to our hearts, ” she said.

Jeanine Spencer shared her thoughts.  “So very appreciative to everyone that makes it possible for us to deliver the items needed to the children at SBCH.  Thanks to the Child Life staff at SBCH who let SASsy and her friends know what the kids needed.  And special thanks to the staff at Northshore Manhasset Hospital 3DSU, whose fundraising made it possible for SASsy to purchase the items needed and make  this special delivery to the Childrren at SBCH. “
