On Wednesday November 6th, Jeanine Spencer delivered 23 handmade crocheted blankets to the WeCare Blankets wrapping party at the Merrick Public Library. Said Jeanine, “My heart was full when I dropped off the blankets. I was greeted with smiles and thanked. Such a wonderful community! The turnout was huge and there was so much love in the room.”
This was the seventh time The Spencer Foundation has brought donations to a WeCare wrapping party. Since their formation in 1999, WeCare has given thousands of handmade blankets to children to keep them warm while they are undergoing cancer treatments.
