On Wednesday November 6th, Jeanine Spencer delivered 23 handmade crocheted blankets to the WeCare Blankets wrapping party at the Merrick Public Library. Said Jeanine, “My heart was full when I dropped off the blankets. I was greeted with smiles and thanked. Such a wonderful community! The turnout was huge and there was so much love in the room.”

This was the seventh time The Spencer Foundation has brought donations to a WeCare wrapping party.  Since their formation in 1999, WeCare has given thousands of handmade blankets to children to keep them warm while they are undergoing cancer treatments.  You can find out more about this wonderful charity by visiting their website wecareblankets.org or their Facebook page.
