The Spencer Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of wife and husband team Gina Wuestmann and David Wuestmann to the Foundation’s board of directors, effective August 15, 2023.

“The Spencer Foundation’s mission of ‘to bring hope and a smile to children with cancer and their families’ resonates with us deeply,” David said. Gina adds, “Growing up, my father embedded in me the spirit of ‘take care of the children’. The Foundation is the perfect channel to focus our charitable energy on children in need.”

Gina has spent much of her career in the hospitality industry and is the owner of The North Village Tavern, in Rockville Centre. She often uses her bar as a venue to hold charitable fundraisers for various organizations, including The Spencer Foundation, and has been honored by The New York State Senate and Assembly for her service to the community. Gina has a degree in Criminal Justice and is a founding charter member of the LI Pride chapter of Lions Club International.

With a degree in Electrical Engineering and a background in business development, much of David’s career has been spent building and leading programs in the Telecommunications industry. David is currently a Program Manager at UL Solutions and spends his free time on community service.  David is also a founding charter member of the LI Pride chapter of Lions Club International.

Said Jeanine Spencer, “Thank you Gina and Dave for wanting to be part of The Spencer Foundation.  The board could not be happier to welcome Dave and Gina.  I checked with all our turtle friends and they are exhausted from the excitement.  Gina and Dave have been supporters of TSF since we began in 2016; always there for us, and helped us kick off Operation Playcation when they held our first fundraiser at The North Village Tavern in Rockville Centre.  Since then they have held several fundraisers to help us  make a difference in children’s lives and their families, and they are always there for us.  I could not be happier, and look forward to doing many more wonderful things with Gina and Dave as part of TSF.”
