On Saturday July 13th 2024, the clouds parted and the sun emerged just in time for the Captain Eddie B III to set out on a four-hour tour, taking our turtles and friends out to try their luck with rod and reel. And luck they had — a lot of fish were raised, including 11 keepers. The winning fish weighed in at 6 lbs 8 ounces. And the Foundation was a winner too, with over $3400 raised for our SASsy’s Small Stuff program at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital!
Said Jeanine Spencer, “As always, a wonderful day on the Eddie B III with Captain Zack and his crew out of Captree, Long Island NY! Just want to thank everyone for all the love and support today and making our fishing fundraiser a huge success for the kids at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. A very special thank you from our turtle friends for every one that came out to support us and what we do. We couldn’t have done it without you all.”
