We are therefore proud to announce the establishment of the Jean and Jeanine Spencer Beyond the Cure Ambassador Scholarship. The scholarships will be administered through the National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS). Applicants must be a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25, diagnosed before the age of 18 with cancer or a high grade or anaplastic brain tumor. The scholarships will be awarded based on essays submitted by the applicants.
Jeanine Spencer said, “Survivors of cancer have challenges for the rest of their lives. Being in this space, we have seen the strength of these young warriors and how our support has made an impact in their daily lives. Finding the NCCS was meant to be. We are elated to partner with the NCCS and look forward to a long-term relationship to help these young (warrior) adults find a way to reach for the stars and follow their dreams through the NCCS Beyond The Cure Ambassador Scholarship Program.”
