Thanks to the generosity of the turtles and friends of The Spencer Foundation, on Saturday December 20th we made another delivery of toys, art supplies and gift cards to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. The Child Life staff there were happy to receive the gifts , saying “It’s great to have the Spencer Foundation deliver gifts to brighten the days of the children spending this holiday season in the hospital.”
Here we see Jeanine Spencer and our good friend Peggy Sohl in the hospital lobby with bags full of surprises…
… all sorts of toys and art supplies for the younger children …
… and gift cards for the older children and teens (who as we all know can be very difficult to shop for)
Said Jeanine, “There’s nothing more special than being able to put a smile on faces of children and teens who can’t spend the holidays with their families because they’re in the hospital. We are honored that we can help Stony Brook Children’s Hospital make their lives a little bit brighter.”
