During the month of March, the Spencer Foundation sponsored a Virtual JoyDrive for Jessie’s JoyJars on behalf of the Jessie Rees Foundation, resulting in the purchase of hundreds of dollars’ worth of toys and $2000.00 in donations to support this amazing group.  JoyJars are filled with age-appropriate toys and activities for children up to the age of 18 who are actively fighting cancer. They are provided free of charge to hospitals, oncology camps and other care centers by NEGU.org. Sunrise Day Camp, Ronald McDonald House and KiDS NEED MoRE right here on Long Island have already received JoyJars, and NEGU.org will be sending them to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital this spring and summer.
Even though the Virtual JoyDrive is over, you can always help out:
– Buy something from the Amazon Gift List to be shipped straight to NEGU
Donate to the Spencer Foundation so we can bring more smiles to children fighting cancer
