Jeanine Spencer

A believer in that there is no greater gift than the love and kindness we give others. A lover of hugs, and making people laugh. She finds great joy in seeing someone smile. Forever altruistic, and committed to making a difference.

Kathryn del Castillo

While Kathryn is a seasoned healthcare professional, for her success is measured in relationships. She believes in honesty, simplicity and miracles. She is comfortable being still with herself or in a room full of strangers. She is a lover of animals and always remembers… she is right where God wants her to be.

Susan W. Porter

Susan W. Porter wears many hats: engineer turned IT Manager at UL LLC, beloved wife and proud mother of two adult children, voracious reader of fantasy and science fiction, native plant gardener, birder, childlike dabbler in music and art (currently playing with tapestry weaving). She is also an assiduous student of the wisdom inherent in everyday life, especially lessons of joy, love and healing.

Katie Coleman, CFP®
Katie Coleman is a Financial Advisor and Managing Partner at Siena Wealth Advisory Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. She has been in the financial services industry for 14 years and is passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals and pursue their life dreams. Katie is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Katie moved to New York in 2007. That same year she joined Siena Wealth Advisory Group and in 2012 Katie became a partner in the firm. Together, with her business partner Joseph De Sena, she has trained over 600 financial advisors across the country. In January 2014, Katie was named as one of Long Island Business News’ 40 Under 40, which honors outstanding members of the business community on Long Island who are under the age of 40. In 2015, Katie was also a finalist for the Athena International Young Professional Leadership Award. She has been quoted as a financial expert in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, NY Post and Long Island Business News and Katie and Joe are currently being featured as a Leading Wealth Advisor’s in Worth Magazine. Katie holds her Series 7, 66 and New York State Life & Health Licenses, and is a CFP ®, Certified Financial Planner practitioner. Katie enjoys spending time with family, reading and traveling. Katie is a Board Member of the Michael Magro Foundation and enjoys running marathons to fundraise for the Foundation. She currently resides in Oakdale, NY with her husband Bob, their chocolate lab, Tuna, and their brand new baby girl Charleston. Siena Wealth Advisory Group has offices in Long Island, NY and Naples, FL.

Joseph S. DeSena, CFP®, MBA
Joseph S. DeSena is a Private Wealth Advisor and President at Siena Wealth Advisory Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. He has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years and is passionate about helping people achieve a confident retirement and balanced life. Originally from Brooklyn, Joe graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree and later earned an MBA in Finance at Adelphi University. Joe joined Ameriprise in November 1994, has been one of the top 100 Financial Advisors at Ameriprise since 1999 and, with his business partner Katie Coleman, has trained over 600 financial advisors across the country. In October 2011, Joe was named one of Long Island Business News’ 50 or so Around 50, which honors outstanding members of the business community on Long Island who are around the age of 50. Joe has been quoted as a financial expert in publications such as Newsday, Long Island Business News and Financial Planning Magazine and Joe and Katie are currently featured as Leading Wealth Advisors in Worth Magazine. Joe holds his Series 7, 66 and New York State Life & Health Licenses, and is a CFP®, Certified Financial Planner practitioner. Joe currently splits his time between his homes in Commack, NY and Naples, FL with his wife of over 30 years, Daria. Joe enjoys long distance running, reading, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children, Ashley and Joe, and their Bichon Shih Tzu, Brooklyn. Joe is passionate about philanthropy and is a founding Board Member of the Michael Magro Foundation Siena Wealth Advisory Group has offices in Long Island, NY and Naples, FL.

Nathalie Donachie
Nathalie Donachie has worked at Northwell Health as a cardiac registered nurse since 2007. Nathalie also has a masters in nursing education. When she is not nursing, she runs a small home decorating business. She is married, with two children, and lives in Garden City, NY.

Fran Spencer

Fran Spencer is an educator by profession, having taught High School English and Theatre for many years. She also founded The Actor’s Workshop, a creative dramatics studio and was the co-founder, producer and director for Storytime Theatre. In addition she worked as a voice over writer and artist for various Long Island businesses and performed in a radio series for Voice of America Radio. Fran presently works at WRHU 88.7 FM, the non-commercial radio station that is broadcast from the campus of Hofstra University. For several years she was a DJ for the Jazz Café and a host of the morning show. For the past 8 years Fran has been the Executive Producer and Host for A League Of Our Own – WRHU’s award winning women’s issues radio show. One of the highlights of her life, though, was the honor of officiating at the marriage of her cherished friends Jean and Jeanine Spencer.

Nancy Mishanie
Nancy Mishanie is a native New Yorker currently living in Westbury NY. Nancy is passionate about helping people and bringing people together. She is committed to Holistic Health and has been a Registered Nurse for nearly 40 years. She currently works as a Holistic Nurse at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset where she helps patients, families and staff using Holistic Nursing skills to promote comfort, healing and healthy life styles. She taught Holistic Nursing for 10 years at The New York College of  Holistic Health Education and Research and that is where Nancy was first introduced to Camp Adventure, an oncology camp for kids. This weeklong sleep away camp holds a very special place in her heart. Nancy has been involved with the camp for the past 10 years. Every year Nancy calls on her organizational strengths and people skills to bring together a band of Holistic Practitioners to go to the camp and treat the camp volunteers with massage, acupuncture, reflexology and a whole lot more. Such a rewarding experience for everyone!  Nancy enjoys the great outdoors and adventure sports like kayaking, zip lining and stand up paddle boarding. She especially loves spending time with her 4 adorable grandchildren, a time where Nancy’s boundless kid energy comes alive.  She is co-chapter leader for the American Holistic Nurses Association, Long Island chapter and is on the advisory board for Queensborough Community College Massage Therapy Program. Nancy lectures on Holistic Health and is a strong proponent of self-care.

Lana Thomas
Lana is an engineer by trade but an avid crocheter and self-taught knitter by heart. She is family oriented and donates time to her family and various charities.  Currently, she is beginning to discover the best places (food and otherwise) of the United States by exploring other states during mini family vacations.  When she has a moment to dream it is always about opening her own yarn shop. If there is a spare hour or two she reads, exercises, tries various vegetarian restaurants and loves walking around New York City.

Jean Zakshevsky
Jean Zakshevsky attended the University of South Carolina and majored in Applied Sciences. She is an Engineering Coordinator at UL LLC. As a native Long Islander, now living in Kings Park; likes to spend her free time going for a run or hike at Sunken Meadow Park.  She also spends her free time with family and friends and she loves to knit , crochet and bake. Jean, Jeanine Spencer and Lana Thomas have been donating their knitted and crocheted items to various charities for more than a decade.  As a cancer survivor she likes to donate her energies to St. Jude’s, Run Like a Diva and, Memorial Sloan Kettering.
